Description

The Olympic Twin XL Over Twin XL Bunk Bed With Stairs puts shaky, squeaky bunks to shame with adult-grade strength. Built from high-grade plywood, this heavy-duty bunk bed for adults laughs in the face of cracks, splits, and squeaks. Plywood’s layered construction means it’s even tougher and more impact-resistant than solid wood, and that’s why this is our strongest bunk bed yet. Specifically engineered with adult sleepers in mind, each bunk is weight-tested to hold an impressive 800 lbs. per sleep surface. The twin XL length gives taller sleepers space to actually stretch out, while the 47.25 inches of space between bunks allows plenty of space to sit up without an accidental head bump. Plus, this bunk bed with stairs for adults isn’t just strong—it’s safe, too. With 13-inch guardrails, an easy-to-climb staircase, and built-in shelving, we’ve thought of every detail to keep you and your guests sleeping safe and sound night after night.

Bed is very sturdy. 4

"Bed is very sturdy. 4 stars for a couple reasons. Delivery of bed was literally dropped by our road, not even on our porch. 2 relatively strong women had to carry these boxes a long way to get them inside and they are extremely HEAVY. Assembly: Took 1 person and a helper at least 7 hours over 2 days to put together twin bunks with steps. These are extremely labor intensive and assembly difficulty level is high. We had an issue with the corner of the step being made poorly, but the customer service was excellent. Got back to me immediately and we are awaiting a new end piece to correct the visual problem. No one has slept in them yet as it's for a summer cottage, but they seem quite sturdy. I'm a bit more concerned about adults using the steps as there should be additional supports for adult weight, but for kids the steps would be great."
